Without my friend beside me, game
To amble upon the heights, and then
Turn ‘round and run back down again

I do not know what I shall do
Without the one so dear, so true
You were such fun, so good, so kind
A pal like you is rare to find

With your passing my tears still flow
But after all, I’m lucky though
For the happy times we together had
With all my heart I thank you lad

For the chance to know and love you
And in return, to share your love, too
