William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program

Unsubsidized Stafford* In a 12-month period, not to exceed $40,500
Graduate PLUS* Cost of Attendance minus maximum Stafford eligibility
*Interest accrues while enrolled in school, and may be allowed to capitalize.

Health Professions Loan**

**No interest accrues while enrolled at least 1/2, time.

The Washington State University Academic Scholarship Application is available for completion online at from September through January for the following academic year. The deadline to apply is January 31 each year. For those scholarships requiring it, information provided in your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine financial need. Therefore, to be eligible for some awards, you must complete the FAFSA as well as the scholarship application.

Washington State University CVM Scholarship

The WSU CVM maintains an active scholarship and awards program. Each year over $500,000 is awarded to students currently enrolled. WSU has some additional funds designated for incoming students that are awarded based upon academic achievement and need. Application at WSU for scholarships and awards is made through the Office of Student Services, College of Veterinary Medicine in June for incoming students and in January for currently enrolled students. The application is made available to students who are admitted into the DVM program. Note: If you receive a scholarship, your loans may be reduced by the amount of the scholarship.
