A town that has it all
Pullman stands among the half dozen best college towns in America, according to a 2012 MSN ranking. Here you won’t find smog or traffic jams. What you will find are excellent public schools and health care services, a vibrant array of cultural and community activities, a pleasant climate, and a low crime rate.
Five-hour drive from Seattle
The city of Pullman lies 280 miles east of Seattle and 78 miles south of Spokane, nestled amidst the gently rolling hills of a region that National Geographic once described as "A Paradise Called the Palouse."
The WSU community isn’t alone. Just 8 miles away is the University of Idaho in Moscow, a major teaching and research institution. Neighbors for well over 100 years, the 2 universities engage in many joint educational and research endeavors.
Many places to go
From Pullman it’s just a short drive to extraordinary destinations for outdoor recreation in Washington and neighboring Idaho: hiking, camping, mountain biking, snow skiing, fishing, boating, rafting, and more.
