The individual and team with the most fingers and best approximation of the horses' ages wins! As an added bonus several of those “thingamajigs” and “doohickees” used in equine dental care are asked to be named (correctly).

Competition guidelines: Competition will consist of identification and proper use (where applicable) of the following: dental anatomy, eruption time, nomenclature, imaging diagnostics (radiographs, CT, etc), and instrumentation. Competition will be history/case type scenario requiring a short answer at each station.
There will be 15 stations per room (2 rooms)
Teams: 3 members per team
Awards: First, second, and third place teams; First, second, and third place individual

Miscellaneous Parts, Bits, and Pieces : Friday, 9:00am

Here's a chance for all you first year students to show off your knowledge of anatomy. We have carefully selected assorted body parts to test your extensive knowledge of dog, cat, horse, and cow anatomy. From the pudendal nerve to the vomeronasal organ - we have it all.

Competition guidelines: 35-40 timed stations (1-2 minutes per station). Teams of just freshmen are preferred. Team members will take exam in three different shifts; no team members will be on the same shift. There will be a 10-minute float period after each shift. Stations will consist of gross anatomy, histology slides, kodachromes of gross anatomy, radiographs, and palpation of a live dog. Team members will be asked to identify the specimen in each station within the time frame given.
Teams: 3 members per team (preferably freshmen)

Just imagine the fun as you enter into this spooky world of black, white, and gray.
