Side Trips and tours

Silver Mountain
Stay with us for a two-day ski excursion to the powdery Silver Mountain. They rave
about the ridiculously short lift lines, the friendly smiles, the free ski waxing, and
other Western hospitality. Silver Mountain will free your soul and capture your heart. The
Mountain's 1,500 acre include three north-facing bowls laced by 50 trails which receive up
to 300 inches of Rocky Mountain powder each winter. Silver Mountain's 2,200 vertical feet
of steep and deep terrain is accessed by six lifts. Climb aboard one of the spacious,
eight-person sky carriages on the world's longest gondola for a quick 19-minute, 3.1-mile
ride from the Base Village to the Mountain Haus upper terminal. The two day, excursion
includes transportation, lodging, continental breakfast, and ski tickets for $80/person
(ski, pole, and boot rental and additional $10/day). So come ride the Motherlode of
excitement, of fun, of snow.
Hell's Canyon
If you would like to relax a bit before your trip home, come ride the Snake River
through Hell's Canyon with Beamers. You can relax on the comfortable, covered jet boat
while enjoying an unhurried day of breathtaking scenery and white water adventure. View
bighorn sheep, ancient rock formations and Indian imagestographs. Let us guide you through
North America's deepest gorge with stories from the past while traveling through three
states. Come for a day and have a lifetime of memories. The one-day trip includes
transportation, 188 miles round trip jet boat ride, and lunch for $60.
WSU Agricultural Centers
Bus tours will be made to the 4 WSU Agricultural Centers, featuring Swine, Dairy/Beef,
and Sheep. Each center will feature renowned research and advancements in the areas of
production, medicine, and herd health. A must see for the future Agricultural Animal
Veterinarian. Each tour costs $5 and will take approximately one hour. For the Swine
Center, you must shower in and out.
Appaloosa Museum
A step into the past of one of the first American-bred horses. Moscow, Idaho, is the
location for the Appaloosa Horse Club and Appaloosa Museum. Go on a tour through the
museum and experience some equine history rich in Native American culture. The tour
costs $5 and will take approximately one hour.
