Female Reproductive Tract [ Up ] [ image 1 ] [ image 2 ] [ image 3 ] [ image 4 ] [ image 5 ] [ image 5b ] [ image 6 ] [ image 6b ] [ image 6c ]
This image demonstrates the mature uterus that you saw in image 2. The body of this uterus (A) (probably due to fixation) has a sigmoid flexure in it, which will be seen better in the next image. Because of the fat content within the broad ligament, the ovaries (B) are not easily distinguished in this image. Also labelled are the uterine horns (C), descending duodenum (D), caudal duodenal flexure (E), ascending duodenum (F), jejunum (G), descending colon (H) and urinary bladder (I). The cervix is not as easily distinguished as it was in image 3, but is probably distal to (to the right of) label J. |
