Can you trace the circulation of the blood through the heart? When is it oxygenated and when is it deoxygenated?
Identify the labeled structures.
A. Right auricle; B. Left auricle; C. Left atrium; D. Right ventricle; E. Pulmonary trunk; F. Pulmonary artery (remember, this blood is deoxygenated, even though it is in an artery - arteries take blood away from the heart and veins take blood towards the heart, regardless of oxygen content); G. Left ventricle; H. Aorta (aortic arch); I. Brachiocephalic trunk; J. Left subclavian artery; K. Interventricular groove
