The Heart
In the left image, the apex of the heart is towards you, the base of the heart (attachment of the great vessels) is away from you, the right chambers are ventral, and the left chambers are dorsal. The left ventricle is open. Notice how much thicker the walls are in comparison to the right ventricle. Why?
