Hopefully,
if you did not cut the great vessels too close to the heart, you were able to find
structure A attaching the pulmonary artery (B) to the
aorta (C). A is the remnant of the fetal ductus arteriosus - the
ligamentum arteriosum. Coming off the aortic arch are the
brachiocephalic trunk (D) and the left subclavian artery (E).
