Saggital Sheep Brain [Up] [Lateral Brain] [Saggital Brain] [Ventral Brain] [Dorsal Brain] [Lab 7H]
This first image has the dura mater of the meninges still attached and shows the portion of the meninges that dips into the longitudinal fissure between the two cerebral hemispheres (A), as well as the portion that separated the cerebrum from the cerebellum along the transverse fissure (B). What is the name of each of these portions of the meninges?
In the lab, we made two saggital cuts through the brain. The first was was centrally located between the hemispheres of the cerebrum, as seen above. The second was through one of the hemispheres. Click on the highlighted "first" or "second" above to go to the respective images. |
