In the image on the left, the ventral incision has been cut just off the midline so that the middle or median ligament (B) of the urinary bladder (A) is still attached to the ventral abdominal wall. The ventral abdominal wall, the median ligament and the urinary bladder has been reflected caudally in the righ-handt image to expose the dorsal surface of the bladder. Also shown are the lateral ligaments of the bladder (C), which contain fat and attach to the lateral walls, the ureters (D), the ductus deferens (E), the descending colon (F), the caudal duodenal flexure (G).
