This image is of the trachea. In Lab 3, we will look closer at the cartilage rings that help us to identify this as the trachea. For now, we want to take a look at the epithelium that lines the lumen of the trachea. Being that the esophagus is also present on this slide, we will look at the epithelium lining the lumen of the esophagus as well.
