The major muscle mass of the brachium is the triceps brachii muscle. You might assume from it's name that it has three heads, but noooo...in the dog it has four heads. The long head (A) appears to be made up of several bellies, and it is the biggest and longest of the heads (originates from the scapula). Muscle B is the lateral head of the triceps brachii muscle.
