This horse skull has portions of the bone removed to expose the sinuses and the roots of the teeth. If you said the dog has brachydont teeth, you were right. The horse, however, have hypsodont teeth. which are specialized for grasping and grinding and continue to erupt throughout the animal's life. Scroll down.

They sure look like grasping and grinding teeth to me.
