You should first be able to identify this as small intestine because of the presence of villi. Although lymphatic nodules are scattered throughout the digestive system, only in the ileum do we see the cluster of nodules referred to as Peyer's patches. Similar aggregates in the pharynx and base of tongue are known as tonsils.
