Intrinsic muscles of the Thoracic limb

We will consider the intrinsic muscles in three sets: First, we will look at those which take their origin on the scapula, insert upon the humerus and act upon the shoulder joint; Next, we will cover the muscles of the brachium, which may also act upon the shoulder, but have their primary action on the elbow; Finally, we will look at the muscles of the antebrachium (forearm), which primarily act upon the carpus and digits.
