In the dog, the deltoideus muscle is made up of two heads (A1, A2) that have their origin on the spine and acromial process of the scapula. Can you guess which part of the humerus this muscle inserts on? That's right - the deltoid tuberosity.

We need to remove the extrinsic muscles and reflect the deltoideus muscle out of the way to see next shoulder muscles.
