An accreditation evaluation of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital was conducted on August 6, 2003 by the American Animal Hospital Association (AHAA). The Veterinary Teaching Hospital received full AAHA accreditation and passed the evaluation with honors. This is the highest level of recognition that is achievable.

The VTH at Washington State was the first teaching hospital to be evaluated under a new set of practice standards released last March that focus on quality of veterinary medical care and client service.

AAHA recognized the excellent approach to veterinary care that WSU students, staff, and doctors provide as a matter of course.
