As part of the orientation program for the WSU Class of 2008, students participated in a three day off-campus experience at Ross Point Conference Center in Post Falls, Idaho.

The WSU/Hill’s Leadership Camp was made possible by donations from alumni and the generous support of Hills Pet Nutrition Inc.

The goal of the camp was to decrease the starting anxiety veterinary students might have about their first few days of professional study and to get them better acquainted with each other, their future instructors, and the administration.

The camp experience emphasized communication, bonding, team building, camaraderie and critical thinking. Games, a "challenge course", recreational and social time and small group discussions contributed to enhancing the goals of this part of the orientation program.
