  Open House April 17, 2004
10 am to 4 pm  in the breezeway of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital
Bring your friends and family,
especially Mom, for a day of education and fun! Visit with the raptors, hang out with Butch, take a ride with Jenkins, tour the hospital, or listen to a mini-lecture by CVM faculty:
11 AM   Equine Behavior Dr. Pryor
11:45 AM     Marvels of Modern Imaging Dr. Tucker
1 PM Equine First Aid Dr. Swor
2 PM Hip Dysplasia Dr. Lincoln

Hospital tours every 20 minutes from 10:30am to 3:30pm

These are just some of the of fun and informative displays and activities available from Student Clubs & Classes.

  • The WSU-CVM chapter of the Society for Theriogenology (reproduction) will have a booth with demonstrations on semen handling and a video on foaling.
  • The student chapter of the Morris Animal Foundation will show a video explaining what the Foundation does.
  • The Feline (cat) club (AAFP) will be providing information about feral (wild) cats, infectious diseases and common household toxins and will be selling T-shirts, cat toys (cat nip pillows) and greeting cards. 
  • Oregon State University, Class of 2006 will be doing a dog wash!
  • Draft Horse Club: See a wagon harness, take a carriage ride with Jenkins and guess his weight
  • Novartis informational booth with free goodies and pamphlets.
  • SVECCS (Emergency and Critical Care Club) will be selling pet first aid kits and presenting information on what problems are emergencies.
  • AAEP (equine club) will show horse anatomy with a live painted horse and will have an "Aging by Teeth" display with prizes for those who can accurately determine the age.

Get a Bubble bath for your pooch in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Physical Therapy Room (VTH 1627) Follow the signs at the entrance to the hospital.
