Drs. Sushan Han and Seth Harris are awarded TA Excellence Awards April 2006

Drs. Sushan Han and Seth Harris, graduate students in the  Department of Veterinary Microbiology & Pathology were recently recognized with WSU TA Excellence Awards (Teaching Assistant) for their role in teaching second year veterinary students during the fall semester. The awards were presented at the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) Student Appreciation Award Luncheon on Thursday, April 20th, 2006. Drs. Han and Harris were nominated for the award by members of the Class of 2008 and by faculty.

Dr. Brian Murphy Receives TA Excellence Award April 2003

The Graduate and Professional Student Association conducts the GPSA TA Excellence Awards each year. The award is given to recognize and encourage excellence in teaching by graduate assistants. A total of eight awards are given: four to TA's who independently instructed lecture sections and four to TA's who performed support functions including grading, teaching lab sections, and leading tutorials.

Dr. Murphy was the TA for VM546 Systemic Pathology course, where he taught the Gross Pathology lab, helped conduct the Diagnostic Challenges, and played cameo roles in lecture. He was nominated by faculty and a number of second year veterinary students.

Each year in a nationwide competition, residents from AAVC institutions are evaluated by a committee of academic clinicians. Nominees are assessed for their scholarship, professional growth, contributions to the profession and their contributions to their University's academic programs. Dr. Sanders is a neurology resident in the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Sean Sanders is awarded the Dr. Lynn George II Fellowship in Basic Science Research, April 2001 

Dr. Sean Sanders, neurology resident, was awarded the Dr. Lynn George II Fellowship in Basic Science Research and was selected by the Senior Class to receive the House Officer Award.
