Pentium Computer Under the front podium in a locked cabinet The computer is to be left "on" 24 hours. The monitor, mouse and keyboard are left on the podium. Turn the monitor on, and login with your CVM username and password. Files can be transferred via Network Neighborhood by choosing Bu145, shared file. Create a file folder with your name on it, and put your files in this folder. Delete files when finished. You can also use zip disk, syquest disk, or 3.5" disk. The key to the computer cabinet is checked out at BCU - (123 Bustad). When you are finished using the computer, go to "start", then "shut down", then choose "login other user". CRT Video/Data Projector Third row up, left middle section in classroom. The projector is turned "on" at the podium. Use the remote control attached to the right of the control panel on the podium, pressing the "on" button. The projector should automatically select the type of image being sent…if it does not, hit the "1" button for video, the "2" button for computer. DO NOT TURN "ON/OFF" AT THE PROJECTOR. Turn the VCR "on" w/ remote control (found on top of the VCR or on the podium - Panasonic ISS #VT 63). Power button is upper left corner on remote. Use other controls on remote to operate the VCR. Turn the power "on", then turn the projector "on" at the projector. Install slide tray. Use the wireless remote for projectors, which is velcroed to podium top. Video Monitors Hanging from ceiling. Control panel in cabinet in North-East (back) corner of room. Turn 2 red switches at top of cabinet "on". Flip switches on three units "on". Push button marked "VTR" in (it should light up). (Instructions are on the inside door of the cabinet.)

NOTE: If video doesn’t work check to make sure the "button" pushed corresponds with the plug-in at the podium. (Please turn system off when finished.)

Inside cart with Overhead on it. Wheel the cart over to the podium and connect power to power outlet at podium. Connect Video plug from back of cart (plug with rectangular adaptor…several sets of pins coming out) into the plug marked VTR on the class side of the podium. The pin configuration fits one way only!

DO NOT FORCE.

For audio: There is a small panel which pulls out on the blackboard side of the podium. Push the Audio "on". Use lower knob to control volume.

VTH 1408/1410 - Clinical Sciences Lecture Room

Multimedia Projector

A desktop Pentium computer and multimedia projector are permanently installed in the front of the room.. Power up Multimedia projector by turning power switch (above power cord) "on" and holding "orange" button on top of projector down for 3 seconds until it turns green. Please turn the projector off when finished by holding the same button down until it turns orange. Let the project fan run until it shuts off (cooling the lamp - about 45 seconds) before turning the power switch off. The computer can be accessed from your office machine by through Network Neighborhood, VTH 120. Open the "shared" directory. Make a folder with your name on it, and place your file in it.

Please delete your file when finished.

Use remote for projector, which is strung from cart to front of room. If bulb burns out, extra bulbs are on cart shelf under projector. Projection screens are manually raised and lowered. Please be careful not to fully extend the screen. A short "jerk" on the screen will release it to rewind. Assistance:
