Bustad 210 VCR Monitor System

Bustad 210 has a monitor system consisting of four TV screens and a sound system. This system can be hooked up to a permanent VCR which is always housed in the room. Unfortunately, there is no current way of hooking it up to cable, satellites, or local TV stations, just a VCR. However, theoretically it can be hooked up to any video output device like a camera. If you need it for this purpose contact BCU personnel beforehand to explore the specific hookup requirements.

Section 1: Hooking up VCR

  1. Locate the cart with the VCR on it. (This is usually what the overhead is put on.)
  2. Wheel the cart over to the podium and plug the power switch into the podium.
  3. Find the video out plug (the adapter looks like a small box with many prongs on it).
Plug the adapter into the VTR hook-up on the front of the podium.

Section 2: Turning on Monitors

4. Go to the back of the room (French Ad. Side). Open the tall metal cabinet and flip on all the on switches. They should be marked. Also, remember to push the 'VTR' button.

Section 3: Audio System

5. Go back to the front counter again and push the Audio on-off switch.

Section 4: Follow-up

6. Put your tape in and push play.
7. Please turn everything off and put it away when done.

If you have any problems, don't be afraid to go to BCU for help. Stephanie and Rich are usually there between 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Chuck and Henry may also be of help. (509) 335-2624
