Inserting an Image into MS Word:

1) First open your publication in Word.

2) Then put your cursor in the approximate area you want to insert an image.

3) Then go up to the top of the screen and click on the pull-down menu called "insert".

4) From the drop down menu that appears, choose "Picture", "From File".

5) Find your image and click "OK".

6) Your image will now appear on your page. It may not always insert itself where you expected, but that can be adjusted after the fact.

Using the image

Once the image is inserted onto your page you can adjust its size, crop it, wrap text around it etc.

1) First click on the image. Then right click on it.

2) You will find a drop down menu with many features. Select "Format Picture".

3) From this menu you can do a variety of things.

                                                    NOTE: When resizing if you pull on the corners the image will maintain its proportions.

                                                     If you pull on the sides it will be stretched out.
