Fall 2014 Photo Contest Winner
"Pepper" Submitted by Amanda Slocum ('16)
The purpose of the Student Chapter of the AAFP is to promote awareness of the growing popularity of cats as pets and patients; to supplement the education of veterinary students with feline medical and surgical topics and to offer practical experience in handling cats. The group hosts speakers who lecture on a variety of interesting feline topics and provides hands-on labs for students to gain additional experience working with cats. The group holds fund-raising events in order to raise funds to pay for outside lecturers and to pay for hands-on labs which are provided for free for all dues paying members.
