Annual Household Cat Show Details for 2001

The Household Cat Show is the WSU AAFP Chapter’s main annual event. In the spring of each year we invite the Palouse community to show off its cats – purebred, barnyard, alley, etc. The owners gather in Pullman, WA and display their cats for all to see and then each cat is judged by a professional cat show judge. The judge awards 1st through 5th place in a variety of categories – long hair, short hair, kittens, childrens’ and purebred. In addition, the judge chooses cats that fit other categories such as "best personality", "oldest cat", "cat with the most toes", etc. Each winner receives an authentic cat show ribbon – just like at a professional show! Ribbons are also awarded to each participant so no cat goes home empty-pawed!

The show is open to the public – even if they bring no cat to be judged. In addition to watching each cat be judged, you can purchase raffle tickets for merchandise donated form local businesses, children can participate in games and there is the opportunity to purchase AAFP’s cat t-shirts and baked goods.

Also, there is the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for bags of cat food and other donated items.
