WSU Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP)

On Saturday, March 28, 1998, the Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) sponsored a household pet cat show at Sunnyside Elementary School.  Prizes were provide by the IAMS Pet Food Company. The cats were judged by Kay Hanvey from Olympia, Washington. The judge provided lots of information about the different breeds, characteristics and colors of cats as they were judged.

There was a raffle for merchandise donated from local businesses and from the IAMs Company and opportunites to purchase AAFP’s cat t-shirts and baked goods.

All the cats and their owners are winners! There were 5 awards made in the following categories: Kittens Children's Long-haired cats Short-haired tabby cats Short-haired non- tabby cats Purebred cats As well as: Special Categories Best of Show
