Mission Statement

The Student Chapter of the Christian Veterinary Mission (CVMF-Christian Veterinary Mission Fellowship Group) is an organization at Washington State University that primarily includes participants from the Christian faculty, staff, and students.  We meet weekly and pursue activities that encourage our growing closer to God, each other, and others with whom we have daily contact. We emphasize fellowship, personal growth, prayer, and outreach to the rest of the college. This is a great way to learn how to be a better Christian witness as a veterinarian.

Activities

Weekly Fellowship Meetings

The WSU Christian Veterinary Mission Fellowship Group meets to encourage, pray, and share a Bible study together.

Parent Organization Information:  Christian Veterinary Mission (CVM)

Christian Veterinary logoChristian Veterinary Mission is an international, interdenominational relief and development organization based in Seattle, Washington. We have over 5000 US veterinarians and veterinary students involved in our organization and are always looking for new members.  CVM was founded by Dr. Leroy Dorminy who was one of the first to realize the impact that veterinarians could have overseas, especially in a holistic ministry in the developing world. Since 1976, more than 58 veterinarians have served long-term in more than 35 countries. They have shared the love of Christ by teaching and training farmers about basic animal health care, as well as through direct ministry telling the story of Jesus. CVM has also coordinated more than 800 short-term veterinary shuttle missions that support the long-term projects. CVM also sponsors fellowship/prayer breakfasts at veterinary meetings as well as facilitating student fellowship groups in veterinary schools around the country.
