Purpose:
The purpose of this webpage is to provide links to livestock biosecurity
materials for consideration by veterinary students, livestock producers, primarily of cattle, and their veterinarians. This webpage is not intended to provide herd-specific
advice and may not reflect the current state of the veterinary literature or
on-line materials. I have not verified the accuracy and usefulness of these
on-line materials so you must use your own judgment or, if you are not
qualified to evaluate these materials, please discuss them with someone who is
qualified to do so and who is familiar with your operation and the risk
situation in your herd. Please let me know if you find useful materials that I
have overlooked or if I have made any errors.

The film "describes the trade as "globalised", with
organized couriers
distributing the meat to many European capitals, where it arrives without
any customs or health checks. Estimates put the amount reaching
London's Heathrow airport at up to 10 tonnes a day, often in appalling
condition. The film says the imported meat could be carrying
foot-and-mouth, anthrax, the Ebola virus, TB or cholera."
