This case is characterized by fibrosis of the bile ducts which are seen here in cross section.  The liver is yellow-green due to marked intra- and extra-hepatic cholestasis.  This degree of fibrosis is not typical, and the liver in cases of "feline cholangiohepatitis complex" is often normal grossly.

In this case (from southern Florida), liver flukes were identified within fibrotic bile ducts and the inflammatory cells which were centered around bile ducts included eosinophils.  In most parts of North America liver flukes are an uncommon cause of liver disease in cats and dogs.
