Group Assignments:
Note: Assignment to
the group laboratory
sections is based on alphabetical order of surname and is balanced for
approximately equal sizes for the sessions.
Please attend your assigned section. To keep the sessions balanced, swapping
sessions with a classmate is preferable. Any switching to a different lab
session is at the discretion of the instructor for that lab. Please see them
beforehand to make arrangements.

Small Lab "Hands-on" Sessions:
During the fall
semester, you must complete three required small group "hands-on" labs
- Bovine, Equine and Small Animal. You may also complete elective labs, such as
Exotics and Swine, if you wish. Required hands-on labs (Bovine,
Equine, Small Animal) have assigned groups. Note:
Assigned lab sessions are scheduled to run on Fridays for three hours,
2:10 PM to 5 PM.
For Equine, you have
the option of completing the lab with in the clinic with the Equine Veterinary
Technicians, Teri Olson lead, in the Equine Section of the clinic but you
must do so before your scheduled equine lab occurs. Otherwise, attend your
scheduled Equine Lab. By Friday most NVTH clinic sections know their
schedule for the next week, baring emergencies, and thus when they can take
extra students. Please
take your test schedule
and so on into account prior to signing up.

them prior to the event and for subsequent sign off. The course director
defers any such requests to the Lead Instructional Technician for a decision.
Disease Information:
Resources for first year students
Laboratory and Small Group Attire:
For Small Animal
Restraint Lab and small group activities involving dogs, cats or exotics wear
clean clinic smocks. For equine, camelid and small ruminant activities, wear
clean coveralls and washable boots.
Animal Science Livestock Center
biosecurity policies require that you wear clean protective coveralls and
clean washable over boots or rubber boots for entry to the bovine
laboratory sessions.
For the Restraint Basics
lab sessions in Bustad 145, normal classroom attire is appropriate. For the
VTH Clinic Orientation, wear attire that demonstrates your professionalism
as you will be in client areas.
Directions to non-CVM Locations:
