Congratulations to Dr. Mamidi!
"It is with great pleasure that I inform you Ranganath Mamidi has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis this morning.  He gave an excellent talk updating us all on the latest insights into the function of the N-terminal region of Troponin T."

Congratulations to Ranga for a job well done!

Congratulations to Dr. Dhar!
We had yet another high quality and very interesting defense.  Matasha Dhar opened our eyes to an entirely different aspect of leptin. it’s not just a fat derived hormone involved in body weight regulation but likely a critical neuronal growth factor.  It was an excellent talk and impressive body of work.  We wish you success in Texas.

Congratulations
to the winner of the Zoetis Research Excellence Award, Dr. Katrina Mealey (VCS & IPN), for her ongoing research on pharmacogenetics and her discovery of specific mutations in genes that affect drug sensitivity in small animal medicine. Category I Poster Awardees include Adam Lesiak and Guncan Dai both Neuroscience Graduate students.(acknowledgement memo)

Neuro students excel in Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA).
