The Department of Veterinary and Comparative Anatomy, Pharmacology and Physiology (VCAPP) is responsible for teaching anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and neuroscience courses within the professional veterinary education curriculum. In addition, our permanent, research and adjunct faculty members are dedicated to educating students in undergraduate and graduate professional programs and in mentoring them to pursue cutting-edge research. |

Neuroscience graduating seniors Omar Bayomy and Rachel Wanty were selected as male and female 2012 Big Ten Seniors in Academics, an unprecedented honor for the neuroscience program and these deserving neuroscience graduating seniors.
Congratulations to Derrick Phillips for passing his M.S. Final Defense April 30 (mentor Dave Rector/Steve Simasko), to Timothy Riley for defending his PhD Dissertation April 13 (Mentor Steve Simasko), and to Lindsay Riley for defending her Masters thesis April 19 (mentor, Greg Belenky).

Congratulations to Yan Dong (promoted to Associate Professor with tenure), Lane Brown (promoted to Associate Professor with tenure), Tricia Talcott (promoted to Clinical Professor) and Sue Ritter (promoted to Regents Professor). All have all earned these promotions effective Spring 2012.
Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Veterinary Medicine Research Building (Rec 4 VMRB) took place October 8, 2010. Project completion is scheduled for 2012. The building will be located next to the Biotechnology/Life Sciences Building on Stadium Way (before photos) / (follow progress).(ceremony videos/photos)
