Turtle

Turtle, a champion quarter horse, came to
WSU for treatment after she broke her hind leg
during a run. After two successful surgeries
performed by equine orthopedic specialist
Dr. Bob Schneider, Turtle has gone on to win
barrel race competitions.

 

The Equine Group at Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is a team of professionals devoted to providing exceptional veterinary care for horses in the Pacific Northwest.

With a history of significant contribution to horses and horse owners spanning nearly the entire life of the college program, the Equine Group has become particularly well recognized during the past 20 years for advances in lameness diagnosis, techniques for surgical intervention, assessment of neurologic conditions and understanding of infectious diseases.

The group’s combined efforts in clinical service, teaching, and research have made them national and international leaders in equine medicine and surgery.
