Classroom Assistants

BCU hires a classroom assistant from each class in the Veterinary College.  The classroom assistant is trained and responsible for:

1. Assisting faculty and staff with A/V and computer equipment in the classrooms.  Faculty and staff sometimes require help with the various projection, audio/video and computer equipment in the classrooms and the classroom assistant is there to help.
2. Videotaping classes for students who have excused absences.  The classroom assistant is contacted by BCU, Barb Robbins, Barb Hodson, or Dr. Doug Jasmer if a student has an excused absence.

BCU considers all employees both full-time and temporary as part of the team! We're a fun-loving professional group that prefers to hire students willing to work over the course of several years. Work-study is preferred, and if hired, we'll try hard to see you earn your entire semester's allotment. We like to hire students with outstanding customer service skills and competency with Windows computers. Priority is given to applicants having experience in advertising, marketing, MIS, computer science or graphic design.

We employ work-study students at the beginning of Fall semesters. Student’s work Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the front desk as clerical assistants. Hours depend on availability and how much work-study you have. Typically someone who has $1000 per 15-week semester can work 7.5 hours a week. We are always accepting applications.
