Fundraiser a Big Success

April 28, 2007
Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship hosted equine behavior expert Robert M. Miller, DVM at WSU.  Dr. Miller presented two seminars:  “Behavior and Misbehavior of the Horse” and “Foal Training.”  Both seminars were well attended and enthusiastically received.

During a day-long presentation, Dr. Miller shared with the audience his extensive knowledge of horse behavior. Using numerous video clips to illustrate his talk, he then explained how to use this information to shape the behavior of horses by using non-coercive methods.  In the evening, Dr. Miller talked about the training of newborn foals and showed the benefits that can be gained from early handling.

PATH is very grateful to Merial for its financial support of this event.  Proceeds will help fund the therapeutic riding program.
