Pam Colbert Takes 2007 CVM Staff Excellence Award
Dean Warwick Bayly (left) congratulates Pam Colbert on her award.
Pam Colbert, VCAPP's Neuroscience
Academic Coordinator, was one of the winners of
the 2007 Dean's Staff Employee Excellence awards. The honor was given
to Pam at the annual CVM Employee Barbecue on August 10. Co-workers
agree that Pam is very deserving of this award for all the years of hard
work and dedicated service she has provided, not only to the Neuroscience
Program, but to the Department of VCAPP and the many people she assists each
day. Phrases such as "...highly
conscientious..uncanny ability to make whomever she is with feel comfortable
and valuable... one always feels motivated or uplifted after a visit with
Pam..." were only a few of the reasons that Pam's nomination took the
edge over other potential winners.
Recently promoted to her position as Neuroscience Academic Coordinator,
Pam has worked diligently to help build the Neuroscience program,
corresponding with prospective students, advising new and returning
students, working with recruitment and generally being the "friendly face"
students encounter when they come to WSU and the Department of VCAPP.
Past VCAPP recipients of the CVM
Excellence Award include Becky Morton (1999), Paul Johnson (2001), Sandra
Bellinger (2000), Richard Brown (2004) and Sandi Brabb (2006).
