Becky Morton given CVM Dean's "Team Player" Award
Dean Bryan Slinker has honored Becky Morton with the 2010 CVM "Team Player"
Award. This award is presented at the Dean's discretion, and it honors
one idividual in the college that the Dean believes is deserving of special
recognition.
Becky Morton, IPN's Administrative Manager, was honored
by Dean Bryan Slinker at the 2010 CVM Excellence Awards Dinner with the
"TEAM PLAYER AWARD", given to one individual in the college that Dean
Slinker believes has "worked tirelessly to help colleagues to become more
productive."
Dr. Slinker praised Becky not only from reports of her efforts, also from
his first-hand knowledge of Becky's tireless work. He said the award
was to thank her for all she does to keep IPN (and other WSU entities)
operating. "Some people think it is the Chair who runs IPN," he
quipped, "But we all know the truth. Becky is the one who keeps the
department business under control so the rest of us can get our other work
completed."
Becky has been employed at WSU and at various positions at IPN for over
25 years. She presently manages all business aspects of the main
office, including finance, remodel and building projects, hiring, evaluating
and generally everything needed in "helping colleagues to succeed."
