Work And
Vacation
Students on half-time assistantships are expected to
devote an average of 20 hours per week to duties for which the stipend is
provided (outside of the classroom).
Students who register for independent study,
thesis research, and doctoral research (NEURO 600, 700, 800) must devote
sufficient time to accomplish the goals and intended objectives that have
been set forth by the student, advisor, and the student's research
committee.
Full-time students must be making satisfactory progress toward their
degree. All graded course
work for the degree should typically be completed within the
student's first 2-1/2 years at WSU.
All graduate assistants (teaching or research)
must
carry a
minimum of 10 hours of
credit (NEURO 600,700 or 800).
If a student falls below 10 credit hours, the assistantship
is canceled and the student may be responsible for repayment
of all or part of the tuition waiver.
