The College of Vetmed does not have direct dial-in access to our computer systems but you can use the University's modem pool or an Independent Internet Service Provider (ISP) to connect to the CVM email and web services.

Getting Online:
WSU Information Technology allows users with a WSU Network ID free internet access.  If you don't have a Network ID, you can obtain one from the WSU Infonet.

Windows 95/98 Users:
Windows 95/98 users have the ability to log into the VETMED network during dial up.  Instructions for remote Vetmed login can be found at this site.  After having successfully completing these steps you will have access to shared folders on the servers and other computers.

Reading Vetmed Email at Home:
There are numerous ways to read your Vetmed email at home.  If you read your email with Outlook on campus, you can to to our web based email site with your web browser, or you can set up Outlook (if you have it at home) to read your mail.  Pine users can access Pine or set up a program like Eudora to read their mail.

Unfortunately we do not have the resources to support individual off-campus problems but you can call IT's helpdesk for dial-in assistance at 335-0522.

This is offered "as is" but we would appreciate knowing any problems experienced to assist in revising this documentation.
