Mission/Purpose
The College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University is
dedicated to excellence and innovation in teaching, scholarship and outreach
in the veterinary and other medical sciences for the benefit of animal and
human health. We are a modern, responsive and future-oriented college whose
actions are linked to an ongoing commitment to quality enhancement for our
programs and stakeholders as they relate to future challenges and
opportunities.
Our primary missions, at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), are to
provide education, research and the best possible service to all clients and
their pets. With this in mind, a partnership between the VTH and referring
veterinarians directly addresses both the primary mission of the VTH and the
goal of establishing WSU VTH as the “gold standard” of customer service.
As a part of achieving our mission, we have a dedicated staff of Registered
Veterinary Technicians, who, in addition to possessing specialized technical
skills are very knowledgeable regarding the inner working of the Teaching
Hospital. Please feel free to contact them, as an additional resource, when
referring clients to WSU. Each technician is listed under their particular
specialty and can be reached through the main switchboard at 509-335-0711.
