When Lisa Fobian saw "Bruno," a Rottweiler puppy, it was love at first
sight. A runt, born in a puppy mill, Bruno was so small at 7 weeks of age he
could fit in her sweatshirt pocket. Not having the greatest start in life,
Bruno overcame bronchitis, a nearly-fatal spider bite, and other health
problems. He fought through them all and by the time he was 6 years old, he
weighed 90 pounds. He was thriving and loving life.
Last year, Bruno became ill and in February 2013 at 7 1/2 years old he passed
away from nasal cancer.
In honor of Bruno and to raise awareness about nasal cancer, Lisa has organized
a Dog Walk, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 17 at Willis D. Tucker Community Park
in Snohomish, Wash. Funds raised from the event will go to the WSU Oncology
