Feline Cardiac Genetics Research
The Veterinary Cardiac Genetics Laboratory has several feline cardiac research
studies in progress at this time. We welcome new participants that qualify for a
study in progress.
Maine Coon cats
We have multiple studies on-going for Maine Coon cats. None of
these studies are currently accepting new participants. However, if you have
been selected for our upcoming Maine Coon Cardiac Genetic Study, follow this

about this study.
Ragdoll Cats
We are not currently inviting new participants for this study. When we
do invite new participants for this study, the requirements for study inclusion
are: HCM diagnosed affected by a licensed veterinary professional and a
certified Ragdoll pedigree. DNA from your Ragdoll is submitted by blood draw
done by your Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician. We supply a special blood
buffer to be used at time the blood is drawn.

Sphynx Cats
We are inviting new participants for this study. The requirements are:
HCM diagnosed affected by a licensed veterinary professional and a certified
Sphynx pedigree. We would like to include your Sphynx in this study if it meets
these requirements. DNA from your Sphynx is submitted by blood draw done by your
Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician. We supply a special blood buffer to be
used at time the blood is drawn.

Norweigian Forest Cats
We are inviting new participants for this study. When we do invite new
participants for this study, the requirements for study inclusion are:
HCM diagnosed affected by a licensed veterinary professional and a
certified Norweigian Forest Cat pedigree. We
would like to include your Norweigian Forest Cat
in this study if it meets these requirements. DNA from your
Norweigian Forest Cat is submitted by blood
draw done by your Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician. We supply a
special blood buffer to be used at time the blood is drawn.
