Mission Statement: The College of Veterinary Medicine Community is made up of students, faculty, staff, administrative professional and temporary personnel. The CVM Safety Committee has been appointed by the Dean to address all aspects of and issues pertaining to health and safety as consistent with WSU Policies and Procedures. The Committee disseminates related information and provides assistance to the CVM Community in developing plans, actions, and assessments to enhance occupational, student, public, and environmental health and safety. All CVM departmental/ division safety committees and each class of DVM students are represented on the Committee. In addition, representatives from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Library serve on the CVM Committee as we share the occupancy of a common building (Wegner Hall) and interact in Emergency Preparedness Plans. This is an "open" committee and all persons of the CVM community are invited to attend the meetings and work towards the common goal of providing a safe working environment.
