Biography:
Born April 16;
Graduated valedictorian of Riverside High School (Chattaroy, Washington) in 2003;
Enrolled at WSU fall of 2003 with a full-ride academic scholarship;
Worked as a research associate (1 year appointment) in the lab of Dr. Krzysztof Czaja prior to entering Graduate Program in Neuroscience, Fall of 2008

Undergraduate Education:
Washington State University, Pullman
B.S. in Neuroscience/Minor in Psychology (2007).

Current research topic:
Neurogenesis within the dorsal root ganglia of the adult rat following nerve damage.

Other Interests:
Hanging out "with my beautiful wife and three adorable children", golf, soccer, yard work..

Awards/Honors:
On WSU President's Honor Roll throughout undergraduate career (2003-2007).
Graduated magna cum laude from WSU (2007).
Dr. Arturs Vitums scholarship in veterinary anatomy (2010).
Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) travel award recipient (2009).
GPSA research assistant excellence award (2008-2009).
Achievement Rewards for College Scientists fellowship awarded by the Seattle Chapter of ARCS (2008-2011).
