About Tyler

I was born and raised in Elk, Wa where my family (dad, mom, brother) live out in the boondocks.  I enjoy doing things with my family like skiing, fishing (especially bow fishing), camping, and boating.  My brother and I enjoy seeing movies at the movie theatre and going rock climbing.  I like to play soccer and basketball and the occasional volleyball game.

Whitworth University 2012
B.S. in Chemistry (Biochemistry Track)

Current research topic:

I am interested in the degeneration of neurons in diseased states and the possibility of regenerating these neurons via neurogenesis in the peripheral nervous system.  I am also interested in studying the various aspects of synaptic plasticity.
