Interests
Working with a multimedia programmer, Richard Link, and
the Biomedical
Communications Unit at WSU, the instructional technology
unit develops programs for use in the veterinary curriculum
and
continuing education and maintains the CVM web site.
I have taught a variety of subjects in the veterinary curriculum in
the past including the urinary system, small animal restraint, fluid
therapy, hematology, oncology and feline diseases. I practiced on
the referral medicine service of the WSU VTH from 1982 through 1995.
Currently I focus on the use of technology in veterinary education.
I am a past president of CONVINCE which was a consortium
involving all the veterinary schools in the US and Canada with a
focus on the use of technology in veterinary education as well as a
member of the
Association for Veterinary
Informatics (AVI). I was on the editorial board of the
Journal of Veterinary Medical
Education and the item writing committee of the National
Board of Veterinary Examiners.
