Specific Research
Areas
My primary research interests are in the fields of infectious
disease, hematology, and pain management. I am currently investigating
the pathogenesis of disease in horses infected with Sarcocystis neurona,
the most common cause of equine protozoal myeloencephalitis. I am also
investigating ways to more adequately manage pain in horses that have
undergone abdominal surgery.
