Pontiac was the love of our life. Pontiac was born to a neighborhood family who were looking for a good home for the shepherd-mix pups. Our son brought her home and asked if we could keep her. We lived by a park and knew she would be happy to live and play there every day. Shortly after we got her she ran to greet our van and she and our vehicle collided. We took her to the vet where she later had to lose her eye. She did fine though and never seemed to feel or act impaired. At 8 years old we found out she had Pancreatic Cancer. The vet gave her a year to live but she actually lasted almost 2 years. She died peacefully at home and we miss her so. Pontiac knew she was loved.
