  Kashmir

For over 15 and a half years Kashmir was my girl. I have loved all of our animals dearly but my little Kash favored my company especially. She would nudge her head under whatever book I was trying to read for attention. She would yell at me through the window if I was audacious enough to swim while leaving her inside. She would leap on my pillow and yell in my ear if I slept longer than she thought was necessary. I will miss every aspect of her personality but mostly I will miss her squeezing her little eyes shut and tilting her head my way when I called her name. She ended life peacefully in loving arms rocked outside with the wind gently blowing. Sleep well little one.
